Hurry Up and Wait.

“Pain and pleasure are never far apart.”
-Carol Storm

There’s nothing like the anticipation of waiting to hit on the first tee. Or at least that’s what I thought.

Now I’m standing in line at Disneyland, waiting to board another roller coaster, and the more I wait, the more intense the anticipation gets.

It’s hard to know how big the drop is going to be or how fast the ride is going to spin you, but your brain doesn’t hesitate to go to every crazy place it can.

It’s the most interesting feeling and the more it courses through my body, the more I realize this feeling comes more often then in a line for a ride or on a random golf course tee box.

It happens all the time, often with little warning, and most likely, won’t leave until you conquer the obstacles in front of you.

It’s scary, but oftentimes, it’s the thing that makes you feel most alive and makes your heart beat out of your chest.

Anyways, I’ve gotta cut this short because I’m at the end of the line and they’re telling me it’s time to go.

I just wanted to drop in and share a quick thought while I waited.

Hopefully, this can be a reminder to always chase the anticipation because it’s almost assured the adventure lies just beyond it.
